Sockeye Salmon return to their spawning grounds. They have overcome the many hazards faced on the way; evading predators, avoiding fishermen’s nets and hooks, and surviving the spread of disease from open-pen Atlantic Salmon fish farms.
The Sockeye Salmon in this sculpture, approaching the stream where they were hatched, are carved from a single piece of Brazilian Soapstone.
